- I can certainly relate to this. Only recently I had the experience of
asking a guy on the list for some clarification, three or four times, and
STILL not getting any answer.
There's a great forum on women-innovators-in-male-innvators-world issues
in the current issue of HOW2, one of the best web magazines around:
http://www.departments.bucknell.edu/stadler_center/how2/
- passing reference is made to some of the previous discussions on this
list. I'd like to welcome the weekend's postings on the subject,
particularly (but not exclusively) those from first time posters. It's a
welcome straw in the wind. Don't stop now.
I'd like to invite a woman to be co-list-owner for this list: not as a
piece of gesture (other than gesture-of-good-will) but as catalyst and
encourager to those who want to contribute. Tough job, but I think its
time has come. To satisfy Mailbase criteria, list-owners should be either
or both of (a) british-based or (b) wearing an ac.uk address - oh, and
they should also be ace innovator poets. I'd like to invite anyone who's
interested to contact me, backchannel, to discuss the arduous
responsibilities. Likewise, if anyone has any suggestions for this role,
contact me.
It ain't enough, and it ain't the end of the story. Way I see it, it's a
gradual process, of which the exchange over the weekend is a valuable
part.
