Christ, this is bleak. Ever get the feeling you exist inside a bad
production of "Endgame", Douglas? Whatever us 'itiated' folk thought
of the Radio 3 programme on Prynne, the 'uninitiated' are united in
its praise, that much seems clear. But did the reader of "The Ideal
Star Fighter" REALLY say "Oriental human beings throw off their
canapes"? Or did I have soap in my ears. And how come John K.
didn't smite Iain Sinclair down dead on the spot...did Sinclair's
startling resemblance to the ancient Lord Longford work in his favour
for once? Or was he just not worth the fucking effort? A rhetorical
question.
For the record, no copies of Prynne's Poems seem to have made it to
Glasgow yet. Whether you go in and order it or no. You have no idea
how pissed off this makes me.
all best,
robin
