With editing _Landbridge: Contemporary Australian Poetry_ (due out mid-May
in Australia and later this year in the UK) the numbers came in at 19 women
and 24 men. I was interested only in the poems themselves. There were space
limitations, though all poets have roughly six or seven pages each, plus a
page for a statement of intent and bio details. I agree with Alison - much
of the really exciting stuff in Oz poetry is coming from women writers.
