It's great to see the interest and enthusiasm with which Veronica
Forrest-Thomson's work in OTHER is being greeted. Now's the time to fess
up: people have pointed out that we Made A Mistake in her biobibliography:
she didn't die in a car accident. I've had three conflicting stories of
how she did die, and propose to leave the resolution of the problem to
those more expert than I. Her late work amazes me now as it did when I
first read it.
In the introduction we listed Tom Raworth's magazine Outburst as if it
were part of the Cambridge magazine-flowering. This is a piece of clumsy
cutting on our part: Outburst predated many of these, and was not
associated with them. Sorry for the misleading impression this gives.
There are other more minor typos around, including an engaging reference
to "Christ Torrance". As far as we know Mr. Torrance has not yet attained
this status.
