THE SANDBURG-LIVESAY ANTHOLOGY CONTEST
First Prize: $200 US and anthology publication
Second Prize: $100 US and anthology publication
Third Prize: $50 US and anthology publication
Other Prizes: anthology publication
RULES
Poems may be published or unpublished.
Poems may be any length up to 70 lines.
The entry fee is $15. Payment by cheque or money order, payable to Mekler &
Deahl, Publishers.
Up to 10 poems may be submitted per entry.
All entries must be typed or word-processed.
The authoršs name should not appear on the poems. The authoršs name and a
list of poems submitted should appear on a separate sheet.
Copyright remains with the author.
Poems will be judged individually; more than one poem by a single author may
be accepted for publication.
All entrants will receive a copy of the anthologyan $18 value.
Entrants with poetry in the anthology will receive one additional copy.
The poem judged to be the best in the anthology will be awarded $200 US;
the first runner-up will be awarded $100 US and the second runner-up $50 US.
Deadline: Entries must be postmarked by October 31, 1999
Winners will be notified in spring, 2000.
