Dear all, --
I was recently consulting the WATCH site (Writers, Artists & Their
Copyright-Holders) on the web (at
<http://www.lib.utexas.edu/Libs/HRC/WATCH/>), & noticed that a number of
important figures in the UK poetry scene are missing from its database.
The site catalogues contact information for writers & their estates, and is
the primary resource for academics and others planning on quoting from,
reprinting, anthologizing, etc., their works.
A few writers familiar to denizens of this list are there--Roy Fisher,
Raworth, Cobbing, Harwood, Pickard--but quite a few notable living and
deceased authors are absent (for starters, Prynne, Allen Fisher, Mottram,
Denise Riley, V Forrest-Thomson, Sean Rafferty, Nicholas Moore, etc.). So
I'd suggest that members of the list with information about such writers,
or who themselves should be on the list, consult the site & contact the
siteowners (there's a link via the "About" file on the site).
all best--hope the quiet on the list means everyone's gearing up for CCCP &
Cork--two fine lineups, despite the temporal clash: tough choice!
