Sorry to introduce myself like this but....
I'm looking for more info about a poem that starts:
You brought me up and taught me well
I know my right from wrong
{it then goes on to end with ..I'm off to join the fair]
I'm not sure if anybody on the list may have come across it. It's certainly
not a literary masterpiece, but a little comic ditty in the Pam Ayres
mould, but it's annoying me that I can't remember any more of the poem or
who it was by. All I remember is that it did brighten up my day.
Any ideas?
I actually work as a very serious journalist working on investigative
features for TV & Print, but enjoy poetry, including writing my own
efforts, and have lurked on this list on and off for a while now and very
much enjoyed some of the discussions.
Hope somebiody can point me in the right direction.
