Alison, I too think bombast can be bothersome -- but it's also to be
expected and tolerated (indeed, I actually, in a way, LIKE it [and have
been an infamously bombastic in the recent past]).
Anyway: I want to insist that this discussion may have very important
consequences. As I have indicated, NATO efforts to quell Milosevic's
brutalizing activities might very well rely on public support. And the net
is a big part of the public voice, especially during an international
unilateral action, which this effort, lest we forget, is. I hope that
before anyone sends floodnet messages to any government office in any
country, he/she realize the facts of this situation first. The public
needs not only to discuss this, it needs to hear first hand reports from
observers in the field, from those who understand the why's and how's of
the region and of military action. This info, along with information
about listserves concerning intelligence about Kosovo, can be found at

Best,
Gabriel
