The biggest problem in the exercise (which I agree is a very worthwhile one)
is defining what is meant by a 'poet'. In my long hair days, I thought
Dylan and Yoko Ono where quite exceptional poets, I would make the argument
for John Lennon also. And Andy Warhol, Lou Read, John Cale...
The movies made by John Cale involving him reading some Dylan Thomas to his
new musical settings is awe inspiring.
Under Milk Wood also made it to the big screen on several occasions.
So perhaps I need some demarcation lines.
Also don't forget the Yoko Ono movies, she wrote several books of poetry
