Ted,
"The dark side of the heart" ("El lado oscuro d4el corazon") is a
horrible film made by an horrible film maker called Eliseo Subiela.
It happens in Buenos Aires and Montevideo. Most of the film is
made with quotations from 2 very important Argentine poets: Oliverio
Girondo (same generations than Borges) and Juan Gelan Gelman. As a
curiosity one of the actors is the Uruguayan poet Mario Benedetti
(he plays a German sailor), and if you want to know what kind of poet
he is, their books sell something as 70.000 copies each.
What about "Tom and Viv" for your list?
I remember a French fil m about Verlaine and Rimbaud (don't remember
its title).
I also remember an irish film on the young Joyce and one by Ken
Russell ("Gothic", I think) on Byron,Shelley et altri.
