I nearly let this pass for lack of time, but I see no one else is answering
yet - can't give you a full answer at least immediately. Briefly, I used to
read Tomlinson with great pleasure. I haven't read his "recent" stuff. Came
to him via Paz. I just liked his verse as verse - competent stuff, I
thought, and more engaging than much going on elsewhere. If I haven't kept
up with it, it's both absent-mindedness and that other things have begun to
engage me more.
