If you see the writing-reading contract as an engagement of, or
confrontation of, minds (rather then a mere performance)
Then the more thoughts and ideas the writer has and the more fully and
completely they are realized into script, the more generous the offer is
and the greater the potential value exchange.
These terms: mind, thought, idea, are shorthand of course. It doesn't have
to be an abstractive passage, and that's where performance comes back in.
But we need protectors from, or guarantors, against the strength of,
performance.
Don't we?
