Hi--the recent suggestion that listmembers write a few reports or reviews
seemed to me a good one. Been trying to give some attention to a few books
recently with an eye to this myself but haven't found the time at this
year-end: however, I thought I'd simply list a few recent or recentish
small-press books I'd acquired, & ask listmembers if they'd have any
comments to share on them (or anything else that caught their fancy, of
course): many of these I've just barely glanced at, others read quickly:
all worthy of a look, though there are one or two disappointments (e.g.
_Sweet Advocate_). For a quick thumbs-up I might suggest that the Kling
translation is superlative--I speak purely from the position of the
beguiled reader, having no command of German. --N
