i was once (and for reasons unknown to me) invited to join a mailing
list which turned out to be populated entirely by (over a hundred) mensa
members, mainly wealthy (self-declared) white-supremacists in positions
of power in industry, education, etc. to these people iq is (still) a
means of dividing society along racial and class lines. much list energy
was devoted to deciding how to "deal with" the masses of "useless" folk
who don't make the grade (and where to "draw the line" of course).
the solution usually hinted at was of the "final solution" variety.
being the only dissenting voice meant i didn't last very long on this
list. in fact i unsubbed when when gun-totin' members started issuing
threats. i find the very idea of a group of super-intelligent fascists
quite disturbing - intelligence manifest as ignorance and hate. i also
find it hard to dismiss these people as loonies because they seem to be
embedded in the upper stata of society, shaping policy, amassing wealth
and power, and preparing for the reckoning to come.
take a test today folks - know where you stand!
regards, steve, who failed the eleven-plus exam and never went near a
test again.
