Dear Lisa, welcome to this list.
I am fifty years older than you. Unless Bob Cobbing is on it, I am probably
the oldest member of the list, while you are probably the youngest. I have
a word of advice : don't get this old! Everything hurts.
I recall at your age already knowing I was a poet but not yet having much
to show for it, and therefore being a bit shy of saying so. Nothing has
altered : I am less shy, that's all.
As Randolph Healy does, I would like to see a poem of yours. If you don't
want to post it in front of everyone, you can back-channel it to Randolph
and to me.
Here's one of my shortest :
_If Wants to Be the Same_
The mounting excitement
as we move
step by step
of difference
off the same.
If wants to be the same
The same as is.
__________
Best wishes,
David Bromige.
