dear lawrence
you are quite right/correct(?) to cop me out on the loose bandying about of
that term 'significant' - all i really mean is the sense of something that
carries over in the mind - just as one responds to say the blues, mongolian
throat music or some kinds of jazz when they work aright, interesting that all
the analogies i've just employed (forgive that verb) come from khodasevitch's
'musica, musica...'
i'll try to elaborate more when this flu goes away
in the meantime
