WSG is highly valued by many British poets and readers. I only ever heard
of one person seriously involved in poetry who found him unattractive. He
doesn't belong at all in the area of accessible simplistic popular poetry
and so doesn't sell in large quantities. Faber have kept his Collected
Poems available in hardback and there are a few small books available which
supplement it. There is a book about him by Tony Lopez. A Complete Poems
has been prepared which cannot be published because Faber will neither
publish it nor relinquish copyright.
