South Park. I've taken it as a sign of my approaching senile dementia
that I was never able to watch more than five minutes of the tv show out
of boredom. I just didn't find it at all funny. What is funny about it?
Didn't Spike Milligan do the anti-humour thing years ago? etc etc
I know you can't explain jokes...
Despite this, and recklessly exposing my television viewing habits, I'm
forming a theory that the only intelligent social comment in US popular
culture occurs in children's cartoons. Daria, Rocco's Modern Life, etc.
How true is it?
