James, welcoming the spirit of the second snip, I'm with you on this,
but I'm baffled by the generalisations of the first: could you give
some examples perhaps? I'd query the binary feel of simple vs.
difficult as you seem to present it: some of the "simplest" poetic
statements can carry "difficulties" all of their own; and I'd not
agree that "difficult" poetry as I understand it is always
inward-turning. Far from it.
