Dear All,
This afternoon I spent a pleasant few hours picnicing in Holland Park,
London which inspired the following..
Close my eyes,
and think where I could be
The hiss of cascading water across lyconed rocks
smoothed by the constant flow.
A the harsh piercing urgent cry of peacocks
finding each other in a strange land.
The Topics?
No
The Jungle? Maybe but No
I'm in London just yards from the heaving flow of traffic
Yet a world away from it's busselling demands
Where a policeman stands,arms akimbo
bored, dutyfuly watching
The Japanese garden
and the small small trees..
Chiding the wandering child who dares
cross on the grass..
I ask him why he's there
The bushes
he replies,
Get nicked..
And all the time
Humanity in all it's shapes and shades
plod through
To admire, Nature aided by numerious
Japanese Banks . Create a speck of London
That is neither Albion or Nippon
But just Holland park
