|Imagination perhaps?
I would be very interested to hear any comments anyone has on this.
Imagination is a word I have been worrying at on my own for some time. Its
linguistic origin points to what it does, not what it is and it is often
used to mean something rather thin and weak compared to the investigative
and transformational processes that interest me - if they exist.
.
& allied with that, the idea of creativity. what we mean by it.
.
any takers, including cris?

Re complicity / responsibility with Strategic Defence Initiatives, was *that
what Keston was saying? I didn't read it like that. Keston?
.
I wrote at considerable length on that, a reply to the list, and then two
thirds of the way through, possibly, chucked the whole thing, thinking Who
wants to read this?
.
Keston says "it may be thought better that the US develops SDI, since..."
and I think it is neither better nor worse, because it is all so mad, and
they are all so mad, and they have so much power, that whatever they don't
do, they'll have something else just as mad they can do; and will.
.
SDI would not and could not avert nuclear disaster though it would change
it. Our air will still be full of (unuseful) crap if they ever launch those
things. Whether each it hits its target or not is largely irrelevant from
the point of view of the majority.
.
If we are complicit, I would be interested to know how one avoids such
complicity. You know, I don't believe in original sin. & anything we do is
little more than licensed carnival. wch is where the imagination comes in
perhaps, unless it's been copyrighted
