ASSESS: SPSS USERS' GROUP
13th ANNUAL MEETING, FRIDAY 12th NOVEMBER 1999
ST WILLIAM'S COLLEGE, YORK, UK
ASSESS is the user group for SPSS, a computer package for analysing
and presenting data (the group is completely independent of the
manufacturers of the software, and is run by users for users). It
organises an annual one-day conference, and other events. There is no
membership subscription. Students pay reduced rates for attendance at
these meetings (postgraduate students only).
The meeting is open to all users of SPSS and to anyone interested in
SPSS. Come along to:
* hear SPSS users talk about SPSS ... problems and solutions
* hear the latest news from SPSS UK staff about product developments,
and put your questions to them
* exchange ideas and discuss problems with other SPSS users
* help to plan the future of this user group
St William's College is on College Street opposite the eastern end of
York Minster, less than ten minutes walk from York railway station or
a few minutes walk from pay-and-display car parks just outside the
city walls. The conference rooms are all up a single, reasonably wide
staircase (there is no lift). Accommodation lists are obtainable from
one of the Tourist Information Centres in York (01904 621756 or
554488).

events will run from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. Morning coffee, lunch and
afternoon tea are included in the registration fee. A timetable, map
and other details will be sent to delegates in advance of the meeting.
DON'T DELAY! These meetings are usually heavily subscribed and the
capacity of the venue is limited. In the event of over subscription,
existing members and those booking early will have priority. However,
those turned down for this reason will be placed on the priority list
