Intel Ireland is seeking an experienced statistician and a graduate
statistician to join it's Engineering group .
Intel Ireland established a chip manucturing facility in Ireland in 1993 to
manufacture leading edge microprocessors. Since that date the site has grown
rapidly, as we continue to meet the needs of the market .
Ireland Fab Operations(I.F.O.) is looking for an experienced Statistician
and a Graduate statistician to join it's Engineering Team . Brief
Descriptions follow;
For Both positions the following applies;
The Successful candidate will be responsible for providing statistical
support to the entire Silicon Wafer Fab Organization. This will include
providing statistical consultancy support to the various Engineering groups;
* Design of Experiments for Process improvements,
* Data analysis for experiments in support of major process changes .
* Providing support for establishing and improving statistically
based, process controls, new process tool qualifications and new
process/product certification.
* Statistical training for site. Take a lead role in
defining/modifying stats training classes in IFO and also in teaching these
classes to Engineers and technicians
For the Graduate position ;
The successful candidate will have: a Bachelor's degree in statistics
(possibly with another subject), strong command of statistical concepts,
data analysis and manipulation skills (SAS an advantage), knowledge of
statistical process control, good communication skills, both written and
verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
For the Senior position ;
Bachelor's degree in statistics (possibly with another subject ), 5 years
experience as a senior consulting or engineering statistician . Should have
very strong data analysis and manipulation skills. (SAS would be an
advantage). Knowledge of SPC methodologies .Experience in a manufacturing
environment would be an advantage.
The candidate should also have good communication skills, both verbal and
written and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
