Dear Allstat,
On behalf of the Editorial Board of the ISBA Newsletter, I wish to
inform you that the March 1999 issue of the ISBA Newsletter is now in press.
ALL current and past ISBA members will receive it by MAIL in two weeks.
In the meanwhile, it is possible (but limited to the current issue) to get
electronically both the issue and the form to join the ISBA, either by
1) ANONYMOUS FTP at iami.mi.cnr.it
(getting the files pub/isba9903.ps (or the compressed pub/isba9903.ps.gz)
and pub/isbaform.ps, respectively)
2) or at http://www.iami.mi.cnr.it/isba/9903.html
(where both (the nicest) .ps (or .ps.gz) and .html files are available).
The current issue contains the announcement of ISBA 2000, an interview with
Zellner, a paper by Regazzini on a rather unknown work by de Finetti on
nonparametrics, a paper by Albert on his teaching experience, the review of
software for nonstationary time series, a paper on the work which received the
1997 Zellner Award, an annotated bibliography on some Bayesian works on
Genetics, the abstracts of the 1998 Ph.D. dissertations at ISDS (Duke
University) and a report on the activities of Bayesians in Venezuela, along
with the ``usual'' news from the world about conferences, etc.
Comments and suggestions are welcome ([log in to unmask] or any of the
Associate or Corresponding Editors).
Best regards
Antonio Pievatolo
