RESEARCH STATISTICIAN (RA1A/RAII)
A statistician with an interest in statistical methodology is required
to join a multidisciplinary research team on the Whitehall II study,
a longitudinal study of socioeconomic differences in health and
disease. Working jointly between the Departments of Epidemiology
and Statistical Science (with Professor Vern Farewell), the
appointee will be involved in developing the application of
statistical techniques for the analysis of longitudinal data, including
investigating methods for dealing with missing data, loss to follow-
up and measurement error. The joint appointment provides a rare
opportunity to work in statistical and epidemiological research on a
broad range of research topics, including physical and mental
health, cognitive function and genetic markers.
Applicants must have a PhD or equivalent work experience,
experience of analysing large and complex data sets; and be self-
motivated and capable of working in a team. Appointment will be for
four years in the first instance.
Salary: £18,420 - £32,199 inclusive pa (RA1A/II) depending on age
