MEDICAL STATISTICIAN
This position is an exciting opportunity in the field of exposure-response
modelling of adverse human effects. You will work jointly for the
Department of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at ICSM NHLI and the
TH Huxley School of Environment, Earth Sciences and Engineering, which have
a major research interest in environmental and exposure assessment,
statistics and epidemiology, particularly for occupational respiratory
disease.
You will have a relevant degree, preferably a MSc in Medical Statistics and
experience in exposure-response modelling of adverse health effects using
various regression modelling techniques. Practical experience with SAS and
STATA is a strong advantage. You will work on existing databases of
occupational epidemiological cohort studies to determine exposure-response
relationships, and where possible threshold levels for occupational
sensitizers. The ideal candidate is dynamic, but organised and highly
motivated with considerable self-initiative. You will be part of a team
with a world-wide reputation in the epidemiology of occupational sensitizers
and respiratory disease.
The appointment is initially for 1 year and will be on the ORS1 salary scale
£18,420 - £21,049 which includes London Allowance following an award from
the Health and Safety Executive.
