We are aiming to begin a new program of study and research in Logistics
here at the Oulu University (northern Finland) and would like to know about
the solutions you have in your own academic units and countries.
The topics we are interested are,
- to what basic academic degree the logistics parts are included e.g.
engineering, economics, business administration etc.?
- which are the required main subjects?
- what are recommended to take as additional studies?
- use of resources, the number of staff, distinction between education and
research, co-operation with interest groups (industry, businesses in
logistics services, transportation, ecommerce)?
- the future positions available after obtained education and degree?
- the priorities between logistics as a part of strategic management or
logistics as a practical operations of packing, transportion, storing, and
forwarding?
