===========================================================
The Automobile Association Public Policy Department has
been working with TMS Consultancy to identify and present
in a user-friendly form some of the road design problems
encountered by road safety auditors. The work is part of
the AA's ongoing commitment to the safety of all
road-users.
The study is the first of its kind to provide a list of
the most common road safety audit problems in this
country and to provide illustrated examples of both
problems and relevant solutions. It has been produced
with the help of some of the country's foremost road
safety audit experts and is directed at teachers of
highway design and road safety, highway design engineers
and policy-makers.
The AA hopes that the booklet will stimulate the interest
of those who are new to or on the edge of the road safety
world and the AA is fortunate enough to be able to provide
multiple copies of this report to addresses within the
UK and Republic of Ireland, free of charge.
If there are students in your department who would
benefit from a copy, or if you routinely run other
relevant courses, please let the AA know - the reports are
packed in boxes of 120 and can be conveniently sent
in such units.
Single copies can be sent on request to overseas
addresses.
Please telephone Mark Goringe (01256 491926) if you would
like to order copies, or write to him at:
