Information and Marketing Officer Circa £25,000 p.a
The Association for Commuter Transport formed in 1997 has become established
as the focal point for information on commuter planning and GTPs. With more
than 150 members and an expanding range of activities the ACT has secured
funding from the DETR to appoint a full time Information Officer.
The role of the Information and Marketing Officer is to promote GTPs by
providing information, training and advice to employers.
Based in London at the ACT Secretariat managed by PTRC the job will include:
responding to enquiries from organisations interested in getting started on
GTPs
liaison with ACT members and other organisations active in GTPs
establishing a database of companies involved in GTPs and tracking their
progress
establishing a database of good practice and library of exemplary plans
developing a briefing pack and presenting the benefits of GTPs to interested
organisations
identifying training needs and developing training materials
promoting membership of ACT and developing membership services
To succeed in this exciting and challenging position candidates should be
self motivated and have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience, a solid
understanding of GTPs and current transport policy, good communication and
interpersonal and IT skills, proven marketing, management and organisational
capability.
