> Frothers, Bubbles and Flotation, A survey of
>Flotation Millin in the Twentieth-Century Metals Industry by Dawn Bunyak,
>National Park Service, Intermountain Support Office, Denver Colorado, 1998
>
The generousity of the US Department of the Interior, National Park Service,
is amazing. Not only did they fund Dawn Buyak's research, in cooperation
with the University of Colorado-Denver, but they paid for publication and
distribution of her work.
Frothers, Bubbles and Flotation is an excellent analysis of the history of
the flotation process and its application to the benefication of
polymetallic ore deposits. The work includes a case study on the
Shenandoah-Dives (Mayflower) Mill at Silverton, Colorado - see Beverly Rich,
The Mayflower Mill; Reclamation and Re-use.

- which was the focus of her initial entry into research on the subject.
The analysis is, however, very relevant to the application of the process
worldwide. From its early development in the Britain to perfection in
Australia and the US, and its introduction to the processing of a wide range
of minerals - even coal.
