I am sure everyone would agree that Fiona has done a great job chairing the
MCG. She has been an exemplary chairperson and I hope I can meet the
exacting standards that she has set over the past three and a half years.
As a member of the group since 1989, I have always found the informality of
MCG meetings to be enjoyable and so I was delighted to be asked to assume
the MCG chair.
I would also like to echo Fiona's thanks to the organisers and speakers for
an excellent meeting in Brighton.
The next meeting will be a one-day meeting (as opposed to the usual day and
a half) at the Natural History Museum on Tuesday, 7th September.
Application forms will be sent out nearer the date.
Reports and articles for the next Newsletter should reach the editor, Sue
Julian-Ottie, by Wednesday, 30th June. Sue is Documentation Officer at the
Horniman Museum, 100 London Road, Forest Hill, London, SE23 3PQ. E-mail:
