My library group, now called the Library and Information Development Group,
has recently become a sub-committee of the Training & Development (Clinical
Governance) Group. I think this is the way forward and am delighted that the
work of our group has been recognized as being central to the clinical
governance agenda.

> The library user group which I chair is not working well and needs some
medicine (or surgery?). It is composed of senior and very senior managers
but there is a problem with ownership as it stands and absenteeism. Library
development is perhaps perceived as an operational matter?? It is supposed
to be a strategic committee.
