Scottish Workshop Programme - Teaching Methods Workshop,
18th May 1999
Presented by the EduLib Development Team in Scotland in association with SALCTG, the
long established Scottish Academic Libraries Co-operative Training Group.
SALCTG will be continuing the work of EduLib beyond the summer of 1999 when EduLib
will cease to be funded by JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee).
The following workshop will be delivered in May 1999
based on the successful EduLib Programme and will be
utilising materials from the recently published
Teaching for Learning in Libraries and Information Services edited by David McNamara
and Jane Core.
Teaching Methods for the Electronic Library
18th May 1999, Glasgow Caledonian University
Teaching takes place in a variety of contexts and there are alternative methods and
techniques we can employ. Methods, including lecturing, open learning and computer
assisted learning (CAL) will be considered in the context of various models of
learning.
Target Audience
The workshops will be of value to library and information services staff who have an
interest in teaching and learning.

The following charges will apply to this workshop and
registrations should be accompanied by a purchase order or

Thereafter, EduLib reserves the right to invoice your institution in full for the
cost of attendance.
