Dear Colleagues
The following is a much abbreviated summary of some suggestions of where to
find information on education in Europe.
Martin Myhill tells me that many European librarians use the US ERIC and
mentions various national cooperation projects for catalogues - although
not subject specific for education.
EUDISED European educational research yearbook 1994-5 onwards (continued
the EUDISED R & D Bulletin.
Brian Peck of Strathclyde University has published several books on
education in Europe including Issues in European education which has a
chapter on "some current issues for school directors p. 5-10 about
decentralisation.
French version of BEI is Bulletin signaletique 520 science de l'education
from Paris : Centre National de la recherche scientifique, 1970-
There is an international indexing service
International Bulletin of Bibliography of Education (Unesco in Barcelona)
- I think there is a copy in the Bodleian where the Uk entries used to be
compiled - anywhere else?
Does anyone subscribe to this?
