Happy New Year to all!!
I'm trying to locate information on Ni speciation and solubility in a variety of fluids spanning a temperature range from a few degrees Celsius to hydrothermal ranges. I'm also trying to find data on the stability and occurrence of vaesite (the Ni analog of pyrite). The literature is fairly sparse and I've exhausted computer searches on things like GeoRef. I'd really appreciate any leads that you can give me. I'll be glad to share anything that I receive with those who express an interest. My need for data is the result of trying to understand the genesis of black shale-hosted Ni-Mo-(PGE-Au) deposits/occurrences in southern China and the Yukon of Canada. My colleagues and I have published several descriptive papers about these possibly exhalative deposits but have not yet come up with a satisfactory and coherent model for their formation.
Cheers,
Dick
