ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS INTERNATIONAL LTD

ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS INTERNATIONAL LTD is a Dublin, Ireland based
engineering consultancy company, specialising in the provision of computer
simulation
techniques to organisations involved in R&D and engineering design. We use
advanced computational techniques to simulate and model products and
processes from a wide range of industries throughout the world. In the past
these have included the automotive, aerospace, biomedical, chemical and
food industries. Our site is staffed by engineers with postgraduate
qualifications and/or relevant industrial experience. Our computing
facilities are composed of a network of Cray Research supercomputers and
SGI workstations. We currently have the following vacancy;


Finite Element Programmer (SA2)
This position requires someone with experience in FORTRAN or C/C++ to help
develop finite element code for a structural analysis problem. The solution
will be computed by modifying an existing finite element code with
particular application to contact modelling and mesh generation. The
suitable candidate should have a PhD or MSc with some experience of
numerical analysis, computational mathematics or finite element methods.
Knowledge of solution methods for partial differential equations,
eigenvalue problems and structural analysis is desirable. He or she should
be proficient in FORTRAN or C/C++.

The candidate should be qualified to at least degree level (preferably with
a postgraduate qualification), with 2/3 years of relevant postgraduate
and/or industrial experience.
