We are currently monitoring the behaviour of sheet piles at a two level
underground car park in Bristol constructed top down.
We are trying to make sense of data from electrical resistance strain
gauges bonded to inner and outer pans of the piles at eight levels
where the magnitude of compression strains are not always the same as
that of tensile strains.
Does anyone have recent experience of doing this or know where it has
been done?
Can anyone suggest good references on the interpretation of such data?
Thank you
David Nash
