EUROPEAN SCHOOLNET LAUNCHES 
COLLABORATIVE MULTILINGUAL ENCYCLOPAEDIA

>From Friday November 12th: 
European Schoolnet has built a new teaching and learning tool as part of Netdays Europe 1999.

This is a unique opportunity for teachers and students to be part of the community of schools working together in building a collaborative, multilingual, multimedia Encyclopaedia. 

Classes, schools and teams of schools contribute "words" of their choice by following a simple step-by-step guide. The Encyclopaedia encourages working together, communication, research, language-learning and online publishing skills while fostering a sense of ownership and personal involvement for each participant. 

Palmtops to be won!
For the first 100 Encyclopaedia word registrations made during Netd@ys Europe '99 week - 12 to 19 November - the European Schoolnet will give away two palmtop computers to schools who complete their Word in the Encyclopaedia before Christmas.
