I hit the same problem with other compilers in my lab. All the
compilers I've checked (SGI, Sun, PGI) do have a flag to
turn on cpp instead of fpp, so I chose to keep the cpp
syntax and set FFLAGS = -xpp=cpp on Suns, -cpp on SGIs etc.
