Many thanks.
In that case I have some supplementary questions, relevant to the
choice, which we will be making soon, of a Windows 95/NT-compatible
Fortran 90/95 compiler which will be the main PC Fortran implementation on
this campus. Perhaps they should properly be directed to various bits of
NAG rather than to this list, but I can at least try asking them here first,
especially since someone as horse's mouth as Malcolm is on the list.
1) The NAG website (in its numerical libraries section, not its NAGWare
compilers section) lists versions of the NAG Fortran and fl90 libraries for
(in addition to the Digital/Compaq and Lahey/Fujitsu compilers) NAGWare f90,
and a version of the NAG Fortran Library for (among others) Salford FTN77.
There seems to be nothing to indicate that any of these is compatible with
Salford FTN95. Can I assume that they are INcompatible with it?
One might have thought that with the same code generator they would be
compatible.
2) Are there plans for versions of the NAG Libraries compatible with
Salford FTN95, and if so, on what timescale?
3) Are there plans (timescale not important in this case) for a Fortran 95
upgrade of NAGWare FTN90?
Many thanks in advance to anyone able to help with any of these questions.
