I can think of several bad films that I have found inspirirng, including "Plan
9 from Outer Space" "Glen or Glenda" and the original "Little Shop of
Horrors". I have seen some real stinkers over the years that I would advise
people to avoid at all costs (including "Everytime We say Goodbye" with Tom
Hanks, the only film I have ever walked out of). Members of this list might be
interested in the film version of Portnoy's Complaint, which features a scene
in which Richard Benjamin recites Yeats' "Leda and the Swan" to Karen Black.
Incidentally, I have come across several comic book adaptions of Poe's poems,
including a SF version of "Annabel Lee".
Yours,
Ivy Garlitz
