A CREST OF TWO THIRDS
The beginning will take care of itself -
though a sense of poise avoids false starts
The first crest too will rise as if in a natural development
And really is as much when enough of the ground is behind
to be entertaining glimmers of how it all winds up -
'This can't go on forever',
whether serene or torture
A second crest when the first can be brought into perspective -
Simply, what was it?
That you felt, thought, saw, cherished, feared?
And a third crest that is like coming
upon nothing so much as a beginning
nothing so mature as naivete
A third that is only solving [/salving?] the other two

Afterthought:
I wondered why so few images entered into this miniature of
a narrational idea.
Who was it remarked, a rhetorical question this, which has
slipped my mind, that instances of creativity, and of
whatever these could possibly consist, are 'overheard',
overlaid, opportunely borrowed for the occasion,
rather than apprised directly?

perhaps catch up on the turn of debate and summary of
events via the archive at some later date.)
