Trevor -- I'd be willing to join such a group, but don't think it ought to
conduct its dirty laundry in the open (since after all, there are those
here who wouldn't mind a break from this topic). If you'd like to set up
such a group, maybe we could simply send info between interested persons,
a kind of informal sub-list working through Cc?
Personally I worry that willingness to be wrong too often becomes an
affirmation of one's pleasure in conceiving of reference without
verification, in studies of Prynne particularly. Though naturally there
must be a means of encouraging hazardous guess-work (I refrain from the
word 'risk', following Lee Harwood's cogent remark in Gare du Nord);
perhaps such a group would link up those hazards?
