RESEARCH STATISTICIAN/EPIDEMIOLOGIST, GRADE 1B/1A
Required to work on a project investigating ethnic and geographic
inequalities in sexual health, funded under the Department of Health's
Inequalities in Health Status Initiative.
The post holder will be responsible for the statistical analyses of
data from surveys of sexual behaviour and attitudes. S/he will
participate in data collection by conducting interviews with attenders
at a local genitourinary clinic and contribute to the design and
execution of a pilot intervention to improve sexual health.
Applicants must have experience of statistical analysis and a
postgraduate qualification in statistics, epidemiology or a related
subject. Applications are particularly welcome from researchers from
ethnic minorities who are currently under-represented. The post is
funded for 18 months commencing October 1999.
Salary on research 1B/1A grade, £15,735 - £17,570 plus £2,134 London
Allowance per annum.
