5. The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC)Agreement
------------------------------------------------
The message below was recently sent to Institutions licensed
for the above agreement. The response rate to this message has
been disappointing and therefore it is being sent again.
CHEST strongly urges that you ensure that your Institution does
reply as your responses are crucial in determining renewal
negotiations.
"The Above agreement has some 15 months left to run. CHEST
seeks to know whether sites wish to renew licenses for this
agreement. The rights granted under the current agreement are:
"Subject to agreed adequate controls and any reasonable
administrative cost that may apply, RSC will permit licensed
sites to continue to access and download the data as provided
by the Service Provider. However, no further updates will be
provided. In the event that the Agreement IS renewed then
those sites which choose NOT to be licensed under the renewed
Agreement will cease to have access to the data but will have
the right to continued use of any data which may have been
downloaded to their institution."
Please indicate your wish for the agreement to be renewed (or
not as the case may be) to [log in to unmask] with the
subject line of RSC renewal."
