5. The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC)Agreement
------------------------------------------------
The message below was recently sent to Institutions licensed
for the above agreement. The response rate to this message has
been disappointing and therefore it is being sent again.

CHEST strongly urges that you ensure that your Institution does
reply as your responses are crucial in determining renewal
negotiations.

"The Above agreement has some 15 months left to run. CHEST
seeks to know whether sites wish to renew licenses for this
agreement. The rights granted under the current agreement are:

"Subject to agreed adequate controls and any reasonable
administrative cost that may apply, RSC will permit licensed
sites to continue to access and download the data as provided
by the Service Provider. However, no further updates will be
provided. In the event that the Agreement IS renewed then
those sites which choose NOT to be licensed under the renewed
Agreement will cease to have access to the data but will have
the right to continued use of any data which may have been
downloaded to their institution."

Please indicate your wish for the agreement to be renewed (or
not as the case may be) to [log in to unmask] with the
subject line of RSC renewal."

6. SciFinder(R) Scholar
-----------------------
CHEST is pleased to inform sites that the Web pages for the
CHEST/CAS SciFinder(R) Scholar one year trial Agreement are
available.

URL: http://www.chest.ac.uk/datasets/scifinder/contents.html

This agreement is for the provision of SciFinder(R) Scholar
and the related SciFinder Substructure Search Module (SSM)
from Chemical Abstracts Service Division.

It has been negotiated by CHEST on behalf of JISC. The initial
period will be for a one year pilot licence which CHEST hopes
to extend for a longer period thereafter. During the pilot
year CHEST will be assessing sites' use of SciFinder and how
any extension might better fit their needs.

In this Agreement, within the special offer year, Higher
Education Institutions within the UK CHEST Community and Third
Level Colleges in Ireland [CHEST(Ireland)] (see
http://www.chest.ac.uk/sites/index.html) will be able to have
trial access to the above mentioned service for an initial 30
day period. Details of the 30 day trial and subscription are
available from the URL above.

becomes due from Licenseed Sites. This message is to remind sites that to

and can not be processed.

The Biography Resource Centre [BRC] is a comprehensive online biographical

past and present noteworthy figures for their own personal benefit, or as
a starting point for more in-depth research on a particular event, country
or era, the information presented in BRC makes it the first source to turn
to for:

Narrative biographies - extensive biographical profiles that provide an
in-depth look at the featured individuals life and accomplishments.
Tips on biographical research - helpful information on how you can
