I sympathize with the complaint made by David (and others). I know
people aren't being deliberately inconsiderate, but maybe they could be
more careful. If you're having a conversation about some topic (i.e.
global warming, the dogmatic nature of traditional economics) and you
find that only two or three people are contributing to the conversation,
and that you're putting 20 letters per day in everyone else's mailbox,
it might be appropriate to continue the conversation between the two or
three individuals who are interested?
