... and we use Fortran 90 for the modelling of complex derivatives

on Digital Alphas. All glue is written in C++, but all the serious
numerical calculations are in Fortran 90 and we are very happy with the
decision to use F90. A lot easier to write/maintain than the C++ code,
easier to understand and quicker to learn for new people (once they've
gotten used to the array notation). Common blocks, gotos etc have been
struck from the language of course. I've written many thousands of lines
of C++ and still get caught out by some of the oddities in C++.
