Huntingdon Life Sciences is one of Europes largest Contract Research
Organisations, and provides contract Toxicology services to the
Pharmaceutical and Agrochemical industries.
The Statistics Department provides a consulting and advisory service to all
scientific staff from a wide range of disciplines. We have two full time
Statistician vacancies, one to be based at the Eye Research Centre in
Suffolk and one at the Huntingdon Research Centre in Cambridgeshire.
The successful candidates will report to the Head of Statistics and be
responsible for providing statistical support to the local scientific staff
from various departments. This support will take the form of one-to-one
consulting and involves:
- Review of protocols and study design
- Statistical analysis using software macros
- Preparation of expert reports and technical memos
- Supervision of junior statistical staff
The ideal candidates will have a degree in Statistics or a related subject
with a substantial statistical content: Some previous experience in
application of statistics in a commercial or research environment; A keen
interest Biology. Some knowledge of SAS or other statistical software would
be advantageous.
