I am very upset to see such sarcastic comments and criticism of a colleague
on our mailbase. Everyone is entitled to take part in discussion and to
agree or disagree on points being made. However it is unpleasant and
unprofessional to use an open forum for personal attacks on a specific
person. If anyone has a grievance against Dr. Siff, he/she should
communicate with him direct and not on the mailbase.
Although I don't always agree with statements Dr, Siff makes, I usually find
them thought provoking and at the least interesting to read. He also is a
constant contributor to most discussions on the mailbase which helps to keep
things moving along.
Please may I make a plea to all contributors to remember that their comments
are being read world - wide and our professionalism may be called in
question if we are reduced to bitchiness and sarcasm when an opinion is
stated with which we do not agree.
