The URL for the NSF Proposal guide is http://www.nsf.gov/bfa/cpo/gpg
and follow the link for the table of contents from there.
The parts of the guide relating to budgets etc will apply to the US
parties only. Each proposal will have a single main text plus two funding
annexes, one for the NSF in their format, one for the JISC in our
(relatively free) format.
It is probably worth stressing that NSF proposals have additional
information attached (beyond the 15-page main text plus the budget
annexes) giving resumes of the principal investigators (PIs). In this case
these are probably going to be even more important than for most NSF
proposals, since UK PIs will be less known to half of the referees panel
than is usual. Resumes can often be several pages long.
Indications of institutional support are also valued by US referees, and
in our case would be essential since we are not able to pay overheads on
the JISC contributions (HEFC rules).
